Make Magazine
For anyone who hasn't heard yet the famed computer book publisher O'reilly has begun producing a quarterly journal for dorks who like to make stuff called Make.
Fitting squarely into that mold myself I was extremely excited when they announced it in late 2004. My brother got me a subscription for Christmas and I finally received the first issue about two weeks ago.
At this point I have read the 'mook' (that's what they are calling it, a combination of a book and a magazine - I guess it's a Japanese thing) twice cover to cover. It is absolutely awesome. It's truly as if Tim O'reilly himself called me up and asked me what type of periodical he should produce.
If you want to learn more about things like aerial kite photography, Gauss rifles, Magnetic card strip readers, or soldering techniques then Make is definitely for you. I only wish it was published monthly instead of quarterly.
