I think I may have finally had an Olympic Moment
Until this year the American basketball team has only lost twice, in every Olympics since basketball was included in 1936. And now they have managed to lose twice in the last week.
Although I don't care much about the Olympics (my favorite Olympic sport badminton has been relegated to Bravo at 4am) I do get great enjoyment watching the US basketball team getting beat. Today they were beaten 94-90 by Lithuania. Lithuania, a country of 3 million with a GDP of 40 billion embarrassed the mighty US "Dream Team".
In my opinion the only "dream" is the one these overpaid, overgrown, retards are living in. How could the Lithuanians beat us you might ask? Because they know how to play basketball. Good old Larry Bird Basketball. Actual skill based three-pointer-hitting and free-throw-making basketball.
The American team plays basketball exactly the way I did when I tried in high school. Pushing, fouling, scrappy sort-of basketball. I played like that because I sucked, badly. If I had only been a foot taller I guess I could have gotten into the NBA and made $12 million over 3 years (for the Cavaliers no less) and $90 million from Nike like LeBron James. Or maybe a cool $3.7 million a year and a $75 million dollar deal with Nike like Carmello Anthony. Anyone of these guys could probably buy Lithuania if they wanted to. Although they would probably have to find it on the map first.
I am definitely rooting for Angora on Monday.
