Issey Miyake
110 Words
Japanese designer Issey Miyake is currently revolutionizing clothing manufacturing. In conjunction with a team of designers and engineers he has invented a process to essentially print clothing from a digital loom. The clothing is cut out of large sheets that roll out of the loom and is immediately wearable. Apparently the stitching process he has developed self ties to avoid fraying. Absolutely amazing!

It seems like if the prices of the looms were lowered this could be an incredible tool for relief workers, dial in the sizes of your refugees and instant clothing.
